   This book is outstanding, I'm not a passionate reader and I couldn't put it down!
   G. Edward Griffin does a fantastic job of simplifying a subject we beginners fear most, American economics and how money works. If you want to know the who's who and why the American economy is the way it is, this book is for you. The author explains in great detail Americas founding fathers intentions, and fears. He walks you through time from the foundation of this counrty until now and clearly shows the struggles of our leaders and manipulations of the banks that have slowly eroded our freedoms. If you want to know more about American economics but fear it's too much for you to understand, fear no more. I quit school in 8th grade. enough said? You won't get bored I promise you that. Once you aquire this knowledge, everything makes sense. Be forewarned, this knowledge will also change your life. (Posted on 4/18/09)

   I purchased a copy of this book from a small JBS bookshop in Milwaukee, WI about 12 years ago. The subject matter, one would think, would be terribly dry. However, Mr. Griffin has written a book, densely packed with information, which is at the same time extraordinarily readable, even entertaining. I was, frankly, stunned by it. So deeply was I impressed, that I wrote a letter to the author, which he promptly answered, I might add. In retrospect, it would have been a good idea to keep up the correspondence. Guess I didn't have much to say at the time, other than "Amen!"
   Coincidentally, about a year ago, while attending a school of navigation in FL, I met a young man of about 20, who had recently read the book. He too was deeply impressed. I highly recommend the book. Especially in these weird times in which we live...I really should hunt up my copy, dust it off, and reread it!
